**NOTE : The current Atlas Shrugged reading group has ended. However, we plan to hold additional groups on this and other works by Rand in the future. **
Come and explore Ayn Rand’s classic novel “Atlas Shrugged”. During twenty weekly sessions, starting on Tuesday, January 22nd, we will discuss the ideas and story found in this unique work. Although written more than fifty years ago, the novel is even more relevant today than it was at the time of writing. It depicts a society racing towards destruction as a result of accepted philosophic ideas and moral values that are popular today. It offers alternative ideas and values.
The study will be organized around a curriculum developed by Dr. Diana Hsieh, using her discussion questions and podcasts. These materials are free and will be distributed to attendees via email.
We welcome first-time and repeat readers of the novel. However, first-time readers should have some familiarity with and affinity for Ms. Rand’s other works. To protect the first-time readers, we will be careful to avoid spoilers.
